Tony Imbroll officially joins SC Braga after standout trial performances

Thirteen‑year‑old Maltese midfielder Tony Imbroll has officially joined SC Braga, completing a remarkable step in his young football journey. Born in 2013, Imbroll secured the move after a series of impressive trials with the Portuguese club, where coaches were convinced by his intelligence, discipline and maturity far beyond his age.

Imbroll developed through the youth systems of Balzan and Luxol Academy, quickly standing out for his tactical awareness and strong attitude on and off the pitch. His rapid progress opened doors abroad, ultimately leading Braga to bring him into their elite academy structure.

Since the age of seven, Imbroll has also taken part in numerous international tournaments through CIC Sports, featuring in events across Sicily, Naples, Rome and Poland. His ability to adapt, read the game and perform under pressure consistently left a positive impression on scouts and coaches.

Now joining one of Portugal’s most respected youth setups, Imbroll will benefit from top‑level coaching, facilities and development pathways. His move represents another encouraging milestone for Maltese football, highlighting the growing recognition of local talent on the international stage.
