Three Maltese Clubs Unite For Dragons World Festival World Cup

A strong Maltese team is preparing to represent our country at the prestigious Dragons World Festival World Cup, taking place on 7–8 November 2026 in Castellammare del Golfo, Sicily, Italy.

Three Maltese clubs, Team Jalen, The Basement and Wu Shuky, are joining forces, bringing together a team of 20 dedicated competitors who are ready to represent Malta with pride, determination and fighting spirit.

Mark Manicolo, Kenneth Scherri, and Alan Borg will be leading Team Jalen, The Basements, and Wu Shuky, respectively, with the competitors participating in three combat sports disciplines: Kickboxing, K-1 and Boxing, facing international competition and testing their skills against athletes from different countries.

Behind this opportunity are hours of preparation, a demanding training camp, hard work, discipline and dedication. Every competitor has put in the effort, made sacrifices and worked towards this important challenge. The coaches have been working hard to prepare their athletes, both physically and mentally, for the competition ahead.
