University of Malta student Thomas Grech is heading to Ljubljana, Slovenia, where he will represent the university in the 10km race at the 2026 European Students Run.

Grech, who is currently in his second year of studies at the University of Malta, will be accompanied by Malta University Sports Association (MUSA) official Jake Vella for this international sporting event.

The competition will provide Grech with an opportunity to test himself against fellow student athletes from across Europe while proudly flying the Maltese flag on the international stage.

His participation highlights the importance of encouraging university students to pursue sporting opportunities alongside their academic commitments.

Grech will now be looking to deliver a strong performance in Ljubljana, gaining valuable international experience while representing his university and Malta with pride.
