The PIT Athletes Shine At UBL Championship In Naples

This past weekend, a strong contingent of athletes from THE PIT MALTA represented the island at the UBL CrossFit Championship held in Naples, Italy, and they certainly made their presence felt on the international stage.

Kelsey Spiteri delivered an outstanding performance in the Individual Regular category, claiming 1st place overall and securing three individual event wins across the weekend. Her consistency, grit, and determination stood out as she dominated one of the most competitive fields.

Meanwhile, jn the 3 Male Regular Team category, THE PIT’s own Mel Magro, alongside his teammates, powered through the leaderboard to take 1st place, notching up multiple event victories and showing elite coordination and endurance throughout the finals.

The entire team brought intensity, professionalism, and heart, showcasing the growing strength of the Maltese CrossFit community and THE PIT’s training culture.

In addition to the headline-grabbing performances of Malta’s top athletes, two other teams from Malta also took part in the UBL Italian Championship. The event featured more than 1600 competitors from 56 countries, including a contingent of around 20 Maltese athletes.

These Maltese teams competed alongside international rivals in the intense team divisions, further underscoring Malta’s growing footprint in the European CrossFit scene.
