Team Malta departs for Sofia ahead of WSF Open

A strong Maltese contingent has travelled to Sofia, Bulgaria, to compete in the WSF Open, which will take place between 24 January and 1 February 2026.

Malta will be represented by some of its leading snooker players, including reigning national champion Brian Cini, alongside Aaron Busuttil, Chris Peplow, Alex Borg and Christian Camilleri.

The tournament is expected to attract top international talent, offering Malta’s players a valuable opportunity to test themselves against elite opposition on the global stage.

With experience, determination and competitive spirit within the squad, expectations are high for a strong showing in Sofia. The event also provides an important platform for Maltese snooker to gain further international exposure.

The Maltese delegation will be aiming to deliver positive performances and make the nation proud as they compete in one of the key events on the World Snooker Federation calendar.
