T2M cycling challenge concludes with triumphant arrival at St Michael Hospice

The Torino to Malta (T2M) cycling challenge concluded successfully on Sunday, 13 September, after cyclists David Gauci, Roderick Spiteri and Joaquin Rojas completed an extraordinary 1,800-kilometre journey in support of Hospice Malta and Friends of Don Bosco Malta.

The seven-day challenge began at Valdocco in Torino, the birthplace of Don Bosco’s mission for young people, with the cyclists covering between 250 and 300 kilometres each day before reaching Malta.

Their arrival at St Michael Hospice in Santa Venera was marked by a warm welcome from representatives of both organisations, who praised the cyclists for their determination and commitment.

More than a sporting challenge, T2M was a journey of solidarity, gratitude and hope. The initiative sought to raise awareness and funds for Hospice Malta’s provision of free palliative care to patients and their families, while also supporting Friends of Don Bosco Malta in its work with vulnerable young people, including those experiencing social exclusion and homelessness.

The cyclists were joined in their achievement by organisers, supporters and members of the two organisations, highlighting the power of community spirit and collective effort.
