Ahead of the Super Cup final between Valletta and Floriana, to be held next Monday 7th September, the Malta Football Association is revealing various facts related to the history of the competition.
Valletta is the most successful club with 13 titles, with their most recent victory coming on the 21th of December 2019, where the League Champions beat the FA Trophy Champions Balzan 2-1.
Current Gżira United FC coach Darren Abdilla led the team to the cup seven years ago, after which he joined Floriana FC.
The Super Cup is now just 3 days away, with the National Stadium awaiting both Valletta and Floriana as they battle for the first honour of the season.
