St Andrews Produce a Convincing Display Against Swieqi United

A dominant St Andrews performance was one of several standout results in a busy round of BOV Youth League fixtures, with key victories shaping the title races in Sections A, B and C.
In the BOV Youth League A, leaders Valletta eased past Fgura United 3-0 to maintain their momentum. An early own goal put them ahead before Peter Nnaemeka Ohaka and Jhoan Estiven Espana Quinones added second‑half strikes. Their win grew in significance as both Melita and Pietà suffered setbacks. Melita were swept aside 4-0 by an impressive Hibernians side, who scored twice early and twice more before the break, even holding firm after going down to ten men. Pietà also faltered, losing 2-0 to holders Naxxar Lions, with Kayne Haber netting in both halves.
St Andrews produced one of the most convincing displays, defeating Swieqi United 3-0 in a direct battle for a top‑four place. After a balanced first half, goals from Benjamin Borg, Adam Vella and late substitute Nathaniel King Cole Pace Vincenti sealed a deserved victory.
In the BOV Youth League B, Mgarr United preserved their perfect record with a lively 4-2 win over Pembroke Athleta. Wisdom Osaretin Igiebor struck a rapid hat‑trick inside minutes, while Zack Scerri added a fourth. Pembroke replied through Kasim Albdeery and Kyle Cassar but could not halt Mgarr’s charge. Zebbug Rangers also climbed the table with a 2-1 comeback win over Kirkop United, scoring twice in the 60th and 61st minutes after falling behind early.
Qormi FC continued their flawless run in the BOV Youth League C, overturning an early Mellieha goal to win 2-1 through Jake Mula and Jayden Zac Borg. Their lead widened as Marsaskala dropped points in a 1-1 draw with Rabat Ajax, who struck late before Jayden Degiorgio equalised instantly.
