Sliema Wanderers Captain Edmond Agius Set To Retire After Illustrious Career

Sliema Wanderers captain, Edmond Agius, is set to retire after a decorated career during which he represented a number of top Maltese clubs and won the highest honours Maltese football has to offer.

In a heartfelt video, Sliema Wanderers digital creator, Nerissa Galdes Portelli paid tribute to the blues' captain, acknowledging the veteran midfielder's excellent career.

Better known as "Il-Mundu," Agius represented Hibernians, Valletta, Birkirkara, and Sliema Wanderers, winning three league titles, six F.A Trophies, and one Super Cup, marking a trophy cabinet worthy of the top player he is.

Sliema Wanderers face Tarxien Rainbows in the final matchday of the season today at 18:30 at the Centenary Stadium, with the blues hoping to send Edmond Agius off with a win.
