Sliema wanderers FC are the winners of the Gammari Muscat Cup after beating Birżebbuġa St Peter's FC 1-0 at Mosta ground yesterday evening.

A wondergoal by Anthony Limbombe was enough to fire Sliema to victory in a hard fought encounter, with the Premier League campaign now fast approaching.

Both teams have built a very competitive squad for the upcoming season, with various recruitments made by both sides.

With the Premier League season now days away, this match served as a good test to test where both teams stand, with both Sliema and Birżebbuġa putting on a good show in their last friendly.
