A team of six swimmers from Sliema has travelled to Sweden to participate in the Swedish Swim Games Grand Prix 2026, being held in Upplands Väsby, Stockholm, from 6 to 8 November.

The team comprises Sasha Gatt, Kaitlyn Muscat, Sophia Allen, Sienna Jac Meli, Nathan Cachia and Matthew Satariano, who will be accompanied by Coach Ioan Catalin Stan.

The international competition will provide the Sliema swimmers with a valuable opportunity to test their abilities against strong opposition, gain experience and showcase their talent on an international stage.

Participation in such events forms an important part of the swimmers’ development, offering exposure to a competitive environment while representing their club and Malta abroad.

The trip has been made possible through the generous support of sponsors VisitMalta, MINISO, UN1T 1 and De Valier.

The Sliema swimming community has extended its best wishes to the athletes and their coach ahead of an exciting weekend of racing in Sweden.
