Sliema Set to Host European Qualification Group Featuring Cypriot and Israeli Sides

Sliema ASC will serve as the host for a qualifying group in the 2025–26 European Aquatics Challenger Cup, the fourth edition of the European water polo competition. As the designated host (H), Sliema ASC will compete in Qualification Round I, Group A, which will be held in Malta, from 28th to 30th November 2025. This tournament represents the fourth tier of European Aquatics club competitions.
Group A consists of four teams. Joining Sliema ASC and fellow Maltese club San Giljan ASC are APOEL Nicosia from Cyprus and Hapoel Palram Zvulun from Israel. Both international sides qualified for the tournament based on their domestic league performances.
The top two teams from Group A will advance to Qualification Round II, keeping their hopes alive of progressing further in the European Aquatics Challenger Cup. The tournament promises exciting water polo action as Sliema ASC aims to make the most of their home advantage.
