Sliema ASC produced a commanding performance in Lithuania as they overpowered Finnish side Cetus Espoo 23–14 to keep their Challenger campaign firmly on track. Although the opening two quarters were tightly contested, Sliema shifted into a higher gear after halftime, delivering a dominant second‑half display that left their opponents with no response.

Jayden Cassar led the scoring for the Maltese team with four goals, showcasing sharp finishing and excellent movement. Benjamin Cachia followed closely behind with a well‑taken hat‑trick. Sliema’s strength, however, lay in their collective firepower. Liam Galea, Niccolo Gitto, Elijah Schembri, Aleksandar Ivovic, Jake Cachia, and Julian Chircop all struck twice, underlining the team’s depth in attack. Dino Zammit also added his name to the scoresheet to round off a comprehensive offensive effort.

The victory sets up an enticing showdown on Sunday morning, when Sliema will face last year’s Challenger finalists EVK Zaibas in a battle for top spot. The Lithuanian hosts come into the clash in strong form themselves, having eased past Cetus Espoo with a 21–11 win on Friday.
