SIGGIEWI’S JUSTIN JOHN CAMILLERI CROWNED WORLD ROWING CHAMPION

Malta has a new world champion, as Justin John Camilleri secured outstanding success on the international stage, bringing pride to Siggiewi Rowing Club and the wider sporting community.

Competing in the IAR3 Men category, the para athlete delivered a dominant performance to claim two gold medals. Camilleri finished in 1st place in the IAR3 Men 315m (1-minute event), before going on to secure another gold in the IAR3 Men 1000m with an impressive time of 3:48.8.

The remarkable achievement crowns Camilleri as a World Rowing Champion — a testament to his dedication, resilience and relentless work ethic.

His triumph not only marks a personal milestone but also serves as an inspiration to athletes across Malta, highlighting the strength and determination within the country’s para sporting community.
