Senglea Gunners were crowned MAFA Knock-Out champions after defeating Għaxaq Wolves 2-1 in the final played at Marsaxlokk Ground.

The match brought together the two standout teams of the MAFA season. Għaxaq Wolves had already secured the league championship, while Senglea Gunners, despite being newly promoted, had previously won the Twanny Agius Fair Play Cup and the MAFA 70th Anniversary Trophy.

The game was played at a good tempo, with Senglea showing composure in possession and looking dangerous on the counterattack. Għaxaq Wolves enjoyed periods of pressure but found it difficult to break through a well-organised Senglea defence.

Senglea took the lead in the 18th minute. Isaac Kwesi won possession in midfield and advanced towards the edge of the penalty area before striking a powerful effort into the corner of the net, leaving goalkeeper Lionel Martin with no chance.

The Gunners doubled their advantage in the 57th minute when Christopher Philip Balotelli finished off a well-worked attacking move to make it 2-0.

Għaxaq Wolves reduced the deficit four minutes from time. Following a corner kick, Stanimir Miloskovic rose highest to head the ball past goalkeeper Yves Bitseki and set up a tense finish.

Despite late pressure from the reigning champions, Senglea Gunners held firm to secure victory and claim their third trophy of the season.

At the end of the match, MAFA Secretary David Abdilla presented the trophy to Senglea Gunners captain Etienne Farrugia.
