Senglea Gunners climb into second place after win against Valletta St Paul's

Valletta St Paul’s missed the opportunity to close in on league leaders Għaxaq Wolves in the MAFA First Division after suffering a 1–0 defeat against Senglea Gunners in their 13th outing of the season.
A goal from Christopher Philip Balotelli in the 21st minute proved decisive, securing all three points for Senglea Gunners. The Senglea side were determined to return to winning ways after dropping valuable points in recent matches that had hindered their title challenge. They now sit four points behind leaders Għaxaq Wolves, with a game in hand.
Marsa St Michael move up to third place with 22 points after beating Balluta Barracudas 3-4 in an entertaining contest marked by defensive errors on both sides.
San Ġwann Pro Evolution Academy are on the brink of relegation after a 2–1 defeat to Valletta Stars St Dominic.
The Valletta side took control early, with goals in the 9th minute and 16th minute, giving them a two-goal lead at half-time. San Ġwann reduced the deficit late in the match, but the goal came too late to change the outcome.
The league standings are as follows: Għaxaq Wolves lead with 27 points, followed by Senglea Gunners, who have 23 points, and Marsa St Michael with 22 points. Valletta St Paul's and Valletta Stars both have 21 points, while San Ġiljan Saints, San Ġwann Pro Evolution Academy, and Balluta Barracudas sit at the bottom with 13, 12, and 3 points, respectively.
