Sasha Gatt shines at AP Race London International with triple national‑record performance

Sasha Gatt delivered one of the standout performances of her season during her first-ever appearance at the AP Race London International, rising to the occasion in a world‑class environment filled with elite swimmers. The Maltese athlete thrived under pressure, breaking three national records in a single day.

Gatt first lowered her own 200m Freestyle national record, then returned later in the programme to break it again a testament to her consistency, speed and competitive maturity. She closed the meet in superb fashion with another national record in the 800m Freestyle, scoring 776 World Aquatics points, her highest tally of the season so far.

The young swimmer expressed gratitude to those supporting her journey, including her coach Catalin Stan, Sliema ASC, and Eurosport Malta, whose guidance and belief continue to fuel her progress.

Competing in London offered Gatt valuable experience against top‑level opposition, and she now shifts her focus back to training as preparations intensify for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.
