Santa Margherita Bormla Secure Promotion To FK Boċċi Second Division

Santa Margherita Bormla have secured promotion to the Second Division of the National Boċċi Championship in their very first season after a year's absence from local competitions.

The Cospicua club sealed promotion with an emphatic 21-0 victory over Fgura and now have their sights firmly set on clinching the Third Division title.

Santa Margherita Bormla currently hold a two-point advantage over Kirkop, who appear to be the only team capable of challenging them in the race for the Third Division championship.

In the other Third Division fixtures, Kirkop defeated Paola Wolves 21-2, while Qrendi edged Marsaskala 21-19.

In the Second Division, Isla recorded an impressive 21-8 victory over leaders Żabbar, Marsamxett defeated Birżebbuġa 21-7 to move level on points at the top, Floriana overcame Qormi San Ġorġ 21-19, Birgu beat Mosta 21-7, and Santa Luċija claimed a narrow 21-19 win over Thalassalejn.
