San Ġwann Tiki Taka Buddies Clinch Blackball Community Christmas Trophy

San Ġwann Tiki Taka Buddies lifted the Community Christmas Trophy after edging past Birkirkara Boċċi 13–11 in a tightly fought final at the Juventus Club Vero Amore in Birkirkara.

The score reflected the balance of the contest, with neither side able to gain a decisive advantage throughout the match. The final ultimately went to a decider session, where San Ġwann held their nerve to seal victory. The success capped an outstanding season for the team, who completed a notable double with this triumph.

San Ġwann Tiki Taka Buddies fielded Gordon Said, Neil Caruana, Andrea Sammut, Bernard Borg, Joe Vella, Jonathan Vella, Daniel Grima, Marco Bonello, Keith Caruana, Carmelo Zammit and Gianluca Vella, under the guidance of coach Godwin Calleja.

Birkirkara Boċċi were represented by Sheldon Lanzon Attard, Izaak Muscat, Jurgen Galea, Matthew Vella, Kieron Fenech, Antoine Schembri, Waylon Micallef, Sheldon Brown, Clyde Briffa, Jerome Fiteni and Justin Farrugia, with Dylan Zammit serving as coach.

Following the match, the Community Christmas Trophy was presented to San Ġwann Tiki Taka Buddies coach Godwin Calleja by Christopher Busuttil on behalf of the Malta Blackball Federation.
