San Ġiljan Women Register Win and Defeat in European Conference Cup

San Ġiljan ASC's women's water polo team experienced mixed fortunes in the European Aquatics Women's Conference Cup 2026/2027, currently being held in Istanbul, Turkey.

The Maltese side opened their campaign on Thursday, 5 November, with an impressive 22-14 victory over Turkish outfit Nevşehir Belediyesi SK, producing a strong attacking performance to secure a positive start to their European commitments.

However, San Ġiljan suffered their first defeat on Friday, 6 November, losing 16-12 against Italian side Nautilus Civitavecchia in a closely contested encounter.
