San Ġiljan MAA Daikin endured a roller‑coaster day at the European Aquatics Water Polo Challenger Cup Men 2025/26, currently being held in Turkey. Their opening match proved a tough challenge as they narrowly lost 14–13 to Galatasaray SK, a game decided by the smallest of margins after a tightly contested four quarters.

Determined to respond, San Ġiljan returned to the pool with renewed focus and delivered an impressive performance against Heybeliada ASC. Their attacking rhythm clicked into gear as they powered to a 22–16 victory, showcasing resilience and quality under pressure.
