Richard Whitehead MBE Completes Malta Marathon

Richard Whitehead MBE completed his 103rd marathon on Sunday, returning to the Malta Marathon, a race he described as meaningful after last year’s experience.
Whitehead highlighted how running goes beyond medals and times, representing community, inclusivity, and the challenge of personal limits. He praised the support from spectators along the route, which helped carry him to the finish.
He crossed the line in 2:49, while emphasising that the event was about more than just the clock. Returning for a second time, Whitehead said he hopes to continue building a legacy around sport, movement, and community.
