Regini Names 20‑Player Malta U18 Squad For Andorra Friendlies

Malta Under‑18 National Team Coach Vasco Regini has announced a 20‑player squad for next week’s international double‑header away to Andorra, an important step in the team’s ongoing development. Malta will face Andorra twice in three days, with the first match scheduled for Tuesday 17 February at 15:00, followed by a second encounter on Thursday 19 February at the same venue, CE FAF Santa Coloma.

These friendlies will provide valuable international exposure for the squad while giving Regini and his technical staff the opportunity to further assess player progress ahead of future commitments.

The selected squad features goalkeepers Adam Newell (Pietà Hotspurs) and Jayden Farrugia (Mosta). The defensive line includes Ismael Vella (Pietà Hotspurs), Ben Gaerty (St Andrews), Sky Chetcuti (Valletta), Gianluca Cauchi (St Andrews), Sami Abo Assaf (Pietà Hotspurs), and Andreas Vella (Melita).

In midfield, Regini has called up Jack Camilleri (St Andrews), Daniel Pawley (Melita), Luke Urpani (Mosta), Benjamin Spiteri (San Ġwann), Luke Cini (Pietà Hotspurs), and Zaiden Formosa (Valletta).

The forward line consists of Liam Buhagiar (Hibernians), Jaylen Zarb (Pietà Hotspurs), Zyas Vella Newell (Floriana), Ethan Brincat Winters (St Andrews), Matteo Paolo Grech (Valletta), and Scott Camilleri (Ħamrun Spartans).
