World No. 94 Quentin Halys recently trained at the National Tennis Centre with Malta’s top player Elaine Genovese and National Coach Alberto Gil Deocal, creating an inspiring environment for local tennis development.
Halys, a French professional who turned pro in 2012, boasts a career-high singles ranking of No. 46 (June 2025). He has reached the third round at Wimbledon (2023, 2024) and the French Open (2025), and made headlines by defeating world No. 9 Andrey Rublev at the 2025 Dubai Tennis Championships his first win over a top-10 player. Halys also reached his first ATP Tour final in Gstaad (2024) and an ATP 500 semifinal in Dubai (2025), proving his ability to compete at the highest level.
