Public Voting Opens for People’s Choice Award at Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali 2026

The Malta Sports Journalists Association (MSJA) has officially opened public voting for the People’s Choice Award as part of the 66th edition of the Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali.

Sports fans now have just over a month to cast their votes, with voting closing at noon on Saturday, 28 February 2026. The prestigious award will once again be decided entirely through SMS voting, with the public able to vote an unlimited number of times.

Ten finalists have been shortlisted for this year’s award, representing a diverse range of sporting disciplines, including open water swimming, para rowing, artistic gymnastics, athletics, kick boxing, horse racing, motorsport, triathlon, weightlifting and sailing.

Each finalist has been assigned a dedicated SMS number, with each message costing €0.58 including VAT.

The Għażliet Sportivi Nazzjonali Awards Night will take place on Saturday, 28 February 2026 at the InterContinental Hotel in St Julian’s and will be broadcast live on TVMSport+, as well as across the MSJA’s social media platforms.
