Promising Maltese footballer Adam Aquilina Joins Tranmere Rovers

Promising Maltese footballer Adam Aquilina has secured a five to six-month development placement with Tranmere Rovers FC, marking a significant step forward in his football career.

A product of Melita FC, Aquilina will spend the coming months training daily within Tranmere Rovers’ professional setup in England. The placement will allow him to benefit from elite coaching, professional standards, and a high-performance football environment as he continues his progression through the Professional Player Pathway™.

The move follows a strong year of development for Aquilina, which included gaining valuable experience at international youth level representing Malta. These opportunities have played a key role in his continued growth both on and off the pitch.

Adam and his family expressed their gratitude for the foundations built at Melita FC and now look ahead with optimism to this new chapter in England. Special thanks were also extended to Raymond Wood for his ongoing guidance, belief, and support throughout Adam’s development.
