PRESS CONFERENCE HELD AHEAD OF FREEDOM DAY REGATTA WITH NEW INNOVATIONS DISCUSSED

Birgu Regatta Club hosted a press conference today ahead of the upcoming Freedom Day Regatta, where several new innovations planned for this year’s race were presented and discussed.
The event brought together representatives from various regatta clubs, including delegates and rowers, creating an opportunity to discuss preparations and address potential challenges that could arise during the competition. The meeting took place in a positive atmosphere, highlighting the shared commitment among all clubs to safeguard the future and success of the regatta.
Among those present was Clifton Grima, Malta’s Sports Minister, who joined club representatives and participants during the gathering.
Earlier in the day, three trial races were also organised to help identify and address any possible issues before the official regatta takes place. These tests formed part of the organisers’ efforts to ensure a smooth and well-coordinated event.
Following the discussions, members and delegates from the various clubs gathered together for a drink, marking the occasion with a sense of unity and shared purpose in promoting the continued success of the traditional Maltese regatta.
