PIETA’ HOTSPURS AND LUXOL BEAT FLORIANA AND FGURA IN U17 SECTION A CLASHES

It was a weekend to remember for Maltese youth football, with the U17 Section A delivering two standout matches. One clash featured title contenders Pieta’ Hotspurs and Floriana, while the other saw play-out sides Fgura United and Luxol St. Andrews go head-to-head in a thrilling encounter.

Pieta’ Hotspurs continued their strong form with a convincing 2-0 victory over Floriana. The difference came through Gianluca Camilleri, who netted both goals in an impressive performance and secured all three points for his side.

Meanwhile, the clash between Luxol St. Andrews and Fgura United proved to be one of the most entertaining matches in local football this season. Luxol emerged as 4-3 winners after a dramatic and action-packed 90 minutes.

Luxol’s goals came courtesy of Nicholas Busuttil, Mateja Stevanovic, and a brace from Jamie Nwoko. Fgura responded with a strong attacking display of their own, finding the net through Dale Bonello Pulis and Alexander Grima, who scored twice.

Both matches highlighted the quality and excitement of youth football in Malta, with plenty of talent on display across the weekend.
