Pembroke Athleta Athletics & Triathlon Club enjoyed an exceptional showing at the 2026 London Indoor Games, held over two weekends at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre, with athletes securing an impressive five Category National Records. The club fielded a strong contingent of 35 competitors across Senior, Under‑20, Under‑17, Under‑15 and Under‑13 events, marking one of its most successful international outings to date.

The record‑breaking run began on 17 January when Jorrin Busuttil produced a superb performance in the 200m, setting new Under‑20 and Under‑23 National Records with a time of 22.40 seconds. His result placed him eighth overall among 50 athletes. The following weekend, Timothy Rizzo Naudi raised the Under‑16 Indoor High Jump National Record, clearing 1.61m to surpass the previous mark set by teammate Carl Grech.

Middle‑distance athletes also excelled. Aurora Desira set a new Girls’ Under‑14 Indoor 800m Category Best with 2:30.40, while Karina Mia Peresso improved the Girls’ Under‑16 record to 2:26.05. Jack Herrera Rolè continued the momentum by lowering his own Under‑14 Indoor 800m National Best to 2:20.62.

In the younger age groups, Kaine Micallef impressed with victories in both the Under‑13 60m and Long Jump.
