Pembroke Athleta enjoyed a superb international debut at the EAP Pula Meeting in Croatia, returning home with an impressive 11 medals — 9 from junior athletes and 2 from Masters competitors. It was a breakthrough performance that showcased depth, talent and exciting future potential.

In the U16 boys’ sprints, Jamie Borg claimed Gold in the 100m (12.46s) and Bronze in the 300m (40.31s PB), while Isaac Galea secured Silver in the 100m. Sheldon Camilleri placed 4th overall, and Benji Borg Ellul Vincenti finished 5th in Long Jump.

The U16 girls delivered strong results, with Karina Peresso taking Silver in the 600m, supported by competitive runs from Miah Ani, Kristina Agius, and Martha Desira across the 100m and 300m events.

In the U14 category, Carla Azzopardi earned Bronze in the 100m, while Aurora Desira impressed with Silver in the 300m and Gold in the 1000m. PBs were achieved by Logan Bezzina, Francesco Falzon, Danny Borg, and Sienna Ani.

Relay success followed with U16 Boys winning Gold and U16 Girls taking Silver.

Masters athletes Chris Bezzina and Lisa Bezzina capped off the meet with dominant Golds in the 3000m.
