Official: Daniel Portela and Floriana FC Part Ways

Daniel Portela and Floriana FC have mutually agreed to part ways, with the club officially announcing the Portuguese coach's departure amid numerous rumours of his exit circulating throughout the week.

Floriana FC released an official statement announcing his departure, in which the club thanked him "for his dedication, commitment and hard work since joining us for the 2025/26 season."

On his final day at the club, Coach Portela "had the opportunity to personally bid farewell to the players, technical staff and Club officials. His departure was met with mutual respect and appreciation, reflecting the positive relationships established throughout his time with the club."

The club thanked "Coach Daniel for his valuable contribution to Floriana FC" and wished him "every success in his future endeavours, both professionally and personally."
