Obstacle Course Academy athletes excel at OCR100 event in Bormla

Obstacle Course Academy (OCA) enjoyed a highly successful weekend at the OCR100 event held in Bormla, where several athletes delivered outstanding performances and secured podium places across multiple categories. The academy’s competitors approached the event with determination and focus, with every athlete progressing through the qualification rounds and reaching at least the quarter‑final stage.

The standout results included Marko Nikolic, who claimed 1st place in the Senior Elite Male (20–39) category, and Melanie Azzopardi, who finished 2nd in the Master Female (40+) division. OCA’s youth athletes also shone brightly, with Max Pace winning the Youth Male (10–15) category, followed by Andy Caruana in 2nd and Zack Satariano in 3rd. In the Youth Female (10–15) category, April Gatt and Emily Vella secured 2nd and 3rd place respectively.

Led by coach Ivan Gauci, OCA continues to build a culture of resilience, discipline and self‑belief. The academy’s dedicated OCR100 structure in Mrieħel has played a key role in the athletes’ development, offering consistent training opportunities that have strengthened both confidence and performance.

OCA now looks ahead to hosting its next national league event, “Fast, daring and fun ..it’s OCR 100m by OCA at Mrieħel,” on 26–27 September.
