Maltese athlete Mireya Bugeja has made headlines in North Carolina, USA, after breaking the national U23 record in the women’s 1500m.
Bugeja also clinched victory in the event at the Wake Forest Invitational, clocking an impressive time of 4:23.22.
To top off an outstanding performance, her result also secured qualification for the World Under-20 Championships, comfortably meeting the required MQS.
