Miguel Amato Wins Tour 4 Ranking Final And Earns National Team Spot

Miguel Amato was crowned winner of the fourth ranking tournament organised by the Malta Blackball Pool Federation securing his place in Malta’s Men’s A National Team that will represent Malta at the WPA World Championships 2026 in London.

In the final, held yesterday at Montekristo Estate, Amato defeated Gary Carr 10-3 to claim the title after a dominant performance throughout the competition.

On his way to the final, Amato defeated Edmond Busuttil 6-2, Luke Said 7-3, Philip Coleiro 8-5, and overcame Joseph Fiteni 9-4 in the semi-final.

Gary Carr reached the final after a 6-0 victory over Kirsten Tanti, followed by wins against Gabriel Vella (7-3), Clint Azzopardi (8-4), and an impressive 9-1 semi-final victory over Miguel Mizzi.

The final saw Amato control the match from the beginning to the end as he deservedly claimed the title.
