MGARR VOLLEYBALL CLUB CROWNED FIRST DIVISION CHAMPIONS

Mgarr Volleyball Club have been officially crowned Malta Volleyball Association First Division champions after completing a dominant and historic campaign.

The ladies in orange sealed the title with a flawless record, winning all ten of their matches and collecting the maximum 30 points available. The championship was mathematically secured back in January following victory over Depiro, capping a perfect run that confirmed Mgarr as the team to beat this season.

Across the campaign, Mgarr conceded just two sets. Eight of their wins came in straight sets, while the remaining two ended 3–1, underlining the team’s consistency and control throughout the year. In their final match of the season against Birkirkara Reds, the Wolves once again delivered an impressive performance to round off their unbeaten run.

This triumph marks the third time in the club’s history that they have lifted the First Division trophy. The appointment of coach Marvic Micallef proved pivotal, while the contributions of Jason Ghio and Anthony Falzon strengthened the squad and elevated performance levels.

With confidence and momentum firmly on their side, Mgarr now turn their focus to the National Super League next season, where a new challenge awaits against Malta’s top teams.
