MFPA DOMINATE ŻURRIEQ WOLVES TO STAY TOP OF VETERANS MALTA PREMIER LEAGUE

MFPA maintained their stronghold atop the Veterans Malta Premier League with an emphatic 7-0 victory over Żurrieq Wolves. The Malta Football Players Association side were inspired by Stanimir Miloskovic, who scored a hat-trick, while Jonathan Bondin added a brace. Goals from Aleksandar Ribic and Mark Zammit helped MFPA extend their lead to 22 points at the summit.

Close behind, Floriana Veterans remain just one point adrift after a thrilling 7-4 win over Rabat Veterans. Ryan Darmanin scored a hat-trick, with Manolito Micallef contributing two goals. Bojan Kaljevic and Firas Aboulezz also added to the tally, while Rabat responded through an own goal by Dylan Grima, a brace from Timothy Zammit, and a goal from Leandros Calleja.

Luxol St Andrew’s returned to winning form with a 5-2 triumph over Hibernians, with Glenn Bonello scoring twice, while Emerson Amaira, Alan Tabone, and an own goal by Dylan Mercieca completed Luxol’s scoring. Ilia Nazarov netted both goals for Hibernians.

Meanwhile, Gżira United defeated Birkirkara St Helen’s 8-4. Romeu Romao, Alan Spiteri, and Ian Zammit each scored twice, with Sebastian Nayar and Kurt Magro adding further goals for Gżira. For Birkirkara, Gilbert Camilleri Lowell scored twice, with Mark Gauci and Ayrton Duncan contributing as well.

MFPA top the Veterans Malta Premier League with 22 points, just ahead of Floriana Veterans on 21, followed by Gżira United with 16, Luxol St Andrew’s on 15, Hibernians with 10, Rabat Veterans on 9, Birkirkara St Helen’s with 7, and Żurrieq Wolves with 6. In the top scorers’ race, Bojan Kaljevic, Manolito Micallef, and Stanimir Miloskovic lead with 13 goals each, while Adam Smeir and Glenn Bonello are close behind on 12.
