MFPA Challenge League Best XI 2025/2026 Revealed

The Malta Football Players Association revealed the Challenge League best XI for the 2025/2026 season during the MFPA Awards ceremony held on 4th May 2026.

The lineup was dominated by Birzebbuga St Peter's with 3 players, and Swieqi United, with 4 players. The rest of the lineup was composed of players from Fgura United, Pieta Hotspurs, Mgarr United, and Balzan.

Pieta Hotspurs goalkeeper Reeves Cini won the award for the first time, after being nominated three years in a row. Fgura United's Matteo Gambin, Birzebbuga's Juan Bolanos Ramirez and Swieqi United's Samuel Okoh and Isaac Davey form the back line.

The midfield is composed of Swieqi United's Kian Leonardi and Salam Mawuena, together with Birzebbuga's Matthew Xuereb.

The front line is made up of Mgarr United's Cristhyan Noto Souza, Birzebbuga's Paul Lapira, and Balzan's Oluwatobiloba Awosanya, who was also named Challenge League player of the year.

Pieta Hotspurs boss Manuel Caruana was named best Challenge League coach, wrapping up a successful three-year spell with the blues.
