MFCA To Host Fifth Annual Awards Ceremony

The Malta Football Coaches Association (MFCA) has officially announced the fifth edition of the MFCA Awards, an evening dedicated to recognising the outstanding achievements of coaches and football personalities during the 2025/26 season.

Details of the event were unveiled during a press conference addressed by MFCA President Lawrence Aquilina, Vice-President Manuel Micallef, and Treasurer Kevin Aquilina.

Speaking at the launch, Aquilina revealed that this year's ceremony will feature an expanded range of awards, with several new coaching categories being introduced. These include honours for coaches of Under-15, Under-17, Youth, Women's, and Goalkeeping teams, reflecting the MFCA's continued commitment to recognising excellence across all levels of the game.

Awards will also be presented to the top coaches in the Gozo Football League, Amateur League, Challenge League, and Malta Premier. One of the evening's most prestigious honours will once again be the President's Award, recognising an individual for their exceptional contribution to football.

The ceremony will also celebrate achievements beyond coaching, with awards including Team of the Year as well as Male and Female Player of the Year.

The fifth edition of the MFCA Awards will be held next Wednesday at a leading hotel in Sliema, with the event set to commence at 7:30pm. It promises to be another memorable occasion celebrating the dedication, professionalism, and success of those who have made a significant impact on Maltese football throughout the season.
