MFA Pays Tribute to Kirkop United Stalwart Żaren Zammit

The Malta Football Association has paid tribute to Nazzareno “Żaren” Zammit, a longstanding figure at Kirkop United F.C., following his death.

Zammit was a key part of the club from its foundation, dedicating much of his life to grassroots football and helping shape generations of players and administrators through his commitment and voluntary work.

He served as Kirkop United president during two separate periods, from 1986 to 1993 and again from 2004 to 2006. Beyond his presidential roles, Zammit continued to support the club for decades as vice-president and a committee member.

His contribution to Kirkop United and the wider football community was recognised by the Malta Football Association, which expressed its gratitude for his lifelong dedication to the game.

Through his years of service, Zammit became an important figure in the club’s history, with his efforts helping sustain and develop the local football community.

The association extended its condolences and paid its respects to Zammit, remembering his lasting contribution to Maltese football.
