MFA Mourns the Passing of Young Footballer Danjel Cuschieri

The Maltese football community is grieving the tragic loss of 19‑year‑old Danjel Cuschieri, a young player remembered for his dedication, talent, and warm character. His passing has deeply saddened teammates, coaches, and supporters across the island. Qrendi FC, Dingli Swallows, and Żebbuġ Rangers clubs where Danjel previously played expressed profound sorrow, describing him as a committed athlete who left a lasting impression on all who worked with him.

The Malta Football Association extended its heartfelt condolences, standing in solidarity with Danjel’s family and the clubs affected.

The funeral will take place on Tuesday, 10 March at 8:30am at the Collegiate Basilica of St Helen in Birkirkara, where family, friends, and the wider football community will gather to honour his memory.
