Maya Lucia Returns To Malta And Joins Valletta FC Women's Team

Maya Lucia has returned to Malta to join Valletta FC Women's ambitious project, signing a professional contract with the citizens ahead of the new season.

A standout talent, Maya previously won the MFPA Best Young Player award and earned a spot in the MFPA Best XI before featuring for clubs such as Genoa, Osijek, AP Orlen Gdansk, and Apollon Ladies, including winning league titles in Croatia and Cyprus.

After various spells in Europe, Maya will be returning for the season to fight for more silverware, this time on the island she so proudly comes from.

Maya remarked that Valletta FC's ambitions are huge, attracting multiple Malta National Team players, with it being a spectacular step forward for women’s football on the island.
