Ħamrun Spartans set the tone for a memorable sporting month as they clinched their third consecutive league title in the first‑ever 360Sports Malta Premier League Final. A decisive strike from Roko Prša secured a 1–0 victory over Birkirkara, sealing the Spartans’ 11th championship and reinforcing their dominance in Maltese football. The historic final drew a strong crowd at the National Stadium, marking a new era for the domestic league.

Across Europe, May 2025 was defined by a dramatic series of UEFA finals. The biggest headline came from Munich, where Paris Saint‑Germain won the UEFA Champions League for the first time, delivering a stunning 5–0 victory over Inter Milan in one of the most commanding final performances in tournament history. English clubs also enjoyed a remarkable month, with Tottenham lifting the UEFA Europa League, Chelsea winning the UEFA Conference League, and Arsenal celebrating triumph in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.

Back in Malta, the month concluded with a celebration of youth development through the inaugural Malta School Games 2025, held from 19 to 23 May. Bringing together State, Church, and Independent schools, the Games showcased young athletes competing in athletics, swimming, football, basketball, netball, and rugby. The event highlighted Malta’s commitment to nurturing future talent while promoting teamwork, inclusion, and physical activity across the islands.
