Matthias Sultana, a young talent from Gozo and rising star with Team Pileri Terni, concluded a three-day testing session in Spain in preparation for the upcoming Mir Moto5 Trophy races.

The 11 year old made his debut in december 2025, taking to the track for the final round of the year’s Mir Moto5 Trophy at the Cartagena circuit in Spain. On that occasion, he demonstrated his talent by lowering his lap times with every run and securing an impressive race position for his debut.

During the recently concluded three days test, Matthias Sultana gained experience on the classic Villena circuit, the challenging 3550 meter Albacete circuit, and the twisty Yepes circuit. It was on this final track that the young athlete was able to test the ideal riding posture for upcoming races.

Francesco Pileri, team manager of Team Pileri Terni, remarked that "Matthias's enthusiasm is contagious," adding that "he is young, yet he displays surprising maturity on the track. He is a true embodiment of our team's ideals: fostering a sporting culture based on preparation, discipline, and a focus on health."

Meanwhile, a new member has joined the Team Pileri Terni family. An agreement has been successfully finalized with the parents of 12 year old Cesare Golfetto, who will compete in the Mir Promo3 Trophy utilizing the same technical setup as the 11 year old rider from Gozo.
