Matthew Satariano delivered a phenomenal performance in the pool, rewriting Maltese swimming history by breaking the 400m Individual Medley national record twice in a single day. The Sliema ASC swimmer first set a new benchmark in the morning session with an impressive 4:34.50, showcasing superb control across all four strokes.
But Satariano was far from finished. Returning for the afternoon session, he produced an even stronger swim, clocking 4:30.67 to smash his own record set just hours earlier. The achievement highlights his exceptional endurance, technical refinement and competitive maturity.
