Matchday: Mġarr and Swieqi Face Off In Assikura Women's Super Cup Final

The wait is over. Mġarr United and Swieqi United face off in the Assikura Women's Super Cup final set to take place today, September 11th, at the Centenary Stadium at 19:00.
Mġarr won both the league and knockout titles last season, finishing ahead of Swieqi in the league and beating Hibernians in the knockout final. Swieqi finished in second place, thus qualifying for this final after Mġarr won both major competitions.
The stage is set for the women's final after the men's final was held last Monday, with Valletta overcoming Floriana 2-0 to lift the BOV Super Cup at the National Stadium.
