Matchday: Floriana Face Żabbar St Patrick’s At Tony Bezzina Stadium

Floriana and Żabbar St Patrick’s face off at 18:00 at the Tony Bezzina Stadium in Paola, with the Malta Premier League now only two matches away from being split into the top and bottom six.

With a win today, Floriana leapfrog both Sliema Wanderers and Marsaxlokk to claim second place and close the gap from leaders Valletta to three points. Meanwhile, Żabbar St Patrick’s, who are just outside the danger zone with eight points, will be eager to move away from relegation bound Gżira United and Birżebbuga St Peter’s, who are now both three points away from Żabbar after finishing in a 2-2 draw yesterday.

With the end of the Opening Round getting closer, the tension keeps building game by game, with seven games left until the top and bottom two teams are decided.
