Malta Women’s National Team Head Coach Manuela Tesse has announced her first provisional squad of the year ahead of the team’s opening UEFA European Qualifiers campaign in League B.

Malta will kick off their campaign with an away clash against Turkey women's national football team on 3rd March at the Pendik Stadium, with kick-off set for 15:00 (CET).

The match marks Malta’s return to League B following consecutive promotions in the UEFA Women’s Nations League, highlighting the steady progress of the national side.

Tesse’s squad blends experience with emerging talent, including a first senior call-up for midfielder Emma Flannery, who currently plays for Albion SC Las Vegas. She is one of 13 foreign-based players selected in the provisional squad.

Malta will be without Mgarr United duo Rebecca Bajada and Veronique Mifsud due to injury.

Following the Turkey fixture, Malta will host Switzerland women's national football team at the Centenary Stadium on 7th March at 19:00 (CET).

The squad features several Malta internationals playing abroad, including Haley Bugeja (Inter), Maria Farrugia (Bristol City), and Maya Lucia (Apollon Ladies), as Malta aim to consolidate their place in League B.
