Malta Women’s Waterpolo Team Makes History with 10th Place Finish

The Malta women's national water polo team has made history with a remarkable 10th-place finish at the Water Polo World Cup Division 2, held at Tal-Qroqq National Pool Complex.

Throughout the tournament, Malta delivered standout performances, securing victories against Slovakia, South Africa, and Argentina. They also faced strong competition, falling to Brazil, Croatia, and Germany in their final classification match.

This achievement marks an unprecedented milestone for Maltese water polo, as no national team, men’s or women’s, has ever finished this high in an international competition.
