Maltese Mountain Bike Trios Set for High‑Altitude Battle at the Andorra Epic

Three Maltese mountain bike teams are gearing up for the Andorra Epic, a demanding four‑day stage race kicking off on 2 July. The event covers 204km of rugged Pyrenean terrain, with riders facing 6,500 metres of climbing and 7,500 metres of descent across technical, high‑altitude trails.
Team Gaudos, featuring Stephen Grima and Diana Muscat, blend experience and fresh ambition. Muscat, the reigning National Champion, enters her first stage race, while Grima brings Epic Legend status and years of podium‑level consistency. Their partnership aims to balance Muscat’s explosive cross‑country strength with Grima’s endurance expertise.
Maltese Riders, composed of Jeffrey Borg and Antoine Sultana, make their Epic Series debut. After a year of joint training and races in Sicily, they approach the event with a steady, strategic mindset. Their goal is simple: finish strong, manage recovery, and enjoy the challenge.
Team Gebel u Blat, Andrew Caruana and Brandon Sultana, arrive with deep synergy and serious ambition. Sultana, a veteran of the Cape Epic and Swiss Epic, targets the coveted Epic Legend medal, while Caruana tackles his first stage race after strong performances in the Hero Dolomites Marathon.
