Maltese mixed‑doubles duo celebrate another international podium finish

Malta’s badminton pair Matthew Abela and Gabriela Skorkowska delivered another excellent international performance after securing bronze in the Mixed Doubles at a tournament in Mexico. The duo showed strong rhythm and tactical discipline throughout the event, progressing confidently into the semi‑finals.

Their run ended against Japan’s Mahiro Oku & Ria Haga, with the Maltese pair putting up a determined fight before losing 10–21, 18–21. Despite the defeat, Abela and Skorkowska earned a well‑deserved third place, adding another international medal to their growing list of achievements.
